Tea is one of the symbolizations of Chinese culture and the verdant tea plantations are usually embraced by rolling hills with purling streams running through. Laborious girls walk through the tea plants collecting fresh tea leaves gently, presenting an idyllic scene. The dance form of picking tea leaves is derived from this scene. On the stage, ‘tea-picking girls’ dress in traditional folk clothes, dance trippingly in the tender night of the West Lake.
As the best-known ballet in the world, ‘Swan Lake’ appearing on the grand stage of the West Lake can be regarded as an inventive creation. The ethereal ballet dancers and the miraculous projective images will offer you a wonderful viewing experience. The arched bridge in the logo of G20 summit is also projected as the backdrop.
It is the only newly created song among the original performances during the G20 summit. It combines the famous Chinese folk song ‘Jasmine Flower’ with the Italian Puccini’s opera ‘Turandot’, endowing the classical vocal musical with new western elements in a creative way.
